Paimon Alipour
Musician | Producer | Composer | DJ
Paimon Alipour is a versatile and accomplished artist whose work spans music production, live performance, and visual storytelling. A second-generation Iranian-American raised in Iowa City, Iowa, Paimon began producing music at 16, drawn to the creative energy of hip-hop and the excitement of DJing. Against cultural expectations, he forged his path in music, starting with beat-making for local rap artists and evolving into a multifaceted music career.
A self-taught musician, Paimon plays piano, guitar, drums, and bass, blending live instrumentation with synthesized sounds to craft an eclectic style influenced by G-Funk, Disco Funk, Neo-Soul, and Indie/Alt-R&B. This distinctive blend has become his hallmark, attracting audiences with its mix of rhythm and innovation.
In 2017, Paimon expanded his artistic vision to film, producing award-winning pieces to complement his music. His documentary DJ Paimon: 100% and the short visual album film Soul De Selene both garnered acclaim at independent film festivals, solidifying his reputation as a creative force in both music and visual media.
Throughout his career, Paimon has performed in top venues across the U.S., holding residencies in major cities like Chicago and Los Angeles, and his remixes have featured on popular radio stations such as Power 106 and KISSFM. His work has also been included on mixtapes by artists like Mike Posner, Nina Sky, and Z-Trip, and his original compositions have been showcased in major films, including the 2020 thriller Spree.
With a following of over 170,000 on TikTok and more than 30 million views, Paimon has become a recognized influencer in the world of DJing. He continues to push boundaries in music production, with his current focus on composing music for sync licensing, bringing his unique sound to audiences worldwide through media placements.
