This documentary covers the life of up and coming DJ/Producer, DJ Paimon, as he tells his story of how he got involved in music, and the difficulties of pursuing a music career as a second generation immigrant, Iranian-American, raised in a small town of Iowa City, Iowa, with little to no music market. Interviews with Paimon's family, local artists and collaborators assist in telling Paimon’s story, and reveal his struggles of attempting to balance appeasing cultural responsibilities while also chasing his dreams. Also included is live-show and studio footage, and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of DJ Paimon's upcoming projects, as he attempts to defy the odds, and help put Iowa on the map.
